Am I giving up? No, but...
But...
I'm 5 weeks behind. I'm a fast reader but come ON.
So I'm going to start up again (next week - Under The Dome by Stephen King), and call it good.
Today, however, I have to tell you the following:
1) I brought my camera today. Know what I didn't bring?
The USB cord.
I'll give you a minute to stop laughing.
2) Last night, I went and had an awesome dinner with The Kid, TR & several of TR's friends.
Where, you ask?
Casa Bonita, The Disneyland of Mexican restaurants.
Isn't it pretty?
The inside is way better.
Now I'd been there once before, but it was with a whole bunch of Girl Scouts, so I didn't really get to experience it fully. (I was busy trying to dry the tears of terrified 8 year olds who had just braved Black Bart's Cave.)
There's an excellent guide to surviving Casa Bonita here, and it's pretty spot on. The key seems to be to think of the food as an admission fee, but I'll admit...
I sort of liked the food. I know it's wrong.
Apparently South Park did an episode that featured this icon of childhood joy, but YouTube keeps shutting stuff down.
